Thanks buddy, it's V9.2 which was supplied on the disc I got. I did uninstall and reinstall the software but same problem. When I do the cable test, it says it's reading all okay.

Your vcds hex-v2 with ATMEGA162+16V8+FT232RQ is actually vcds v1, fake v2.

But 20:12 works with ATMEGA 162 chip just download from ross tech and paste vcdsloader_v9.2 into directory.

First try reprogram FT232R chip, use MPROG.

May I ask where to buy proper hex V2 clone ? With STM stuff and red square chip?

The blue one is the ORIGINAL VCDS board. I just wanted to let the people see what components are on the genuine PCB.

Hmm, therefore the green one witch I found in previous post are green with this red square component are the nearest to genuine ? Is there any safe reseller or best place to buy one?
