Hi everyone,
Ik have a question about my Vag com cable. I bought a cable + software from somebody. During installation and testing my laptop was connected to internet. The first time I tested the interface, the license was correct and working. Unfortunately, the second time it did not work anymore due to an unauthorized license... Probably the interface was connected with internet and has ‘updated’ itself... Does anyone know if it is possible to ‘undo’ this? Or to replace the firmware of the interface?

Remove the cover from the cable and take a picture of the PCB board. Upload it somewhere and share. It depends on what type of chip is used in your cable.

This one baffled me , is there anyone who knows the answer ,

win7 32 bit loader 9.2 vcds 20.12.0/1 only respose on all found modules ;

same cable on win10-64 same loader 9.2 , same vcds 20.12.0/1 and this is the result ;

Can someone say what the difference is between hex v2 STM415 vs STM405, I mean the arm chip is slightly different, but they have different hex loaded? Or the loader work differently? Does vcds check which chip or just use functions in the arm hex code?

fake vcds hex-v2, it is actually vcds hex-v1

VCDS Hex-V2 with main chip STM32F405VGT6 work with VIIPlusLoader-08.020.13-EN-Installer now

VCDS V2 english software version is v20.4.2 is chinese company tool, the best in the world

No.
Serial number is writed to OTP area -One Time Programing.
See DS150E repair, some chip: STM32F207

Thank you for your explanation. Regarding the OTP, at least it permits writing one time. Why not use that one time to write the SN?
If it's feasible, can I read the full dump (including the OTP) from an other VCDS with 405 chip and then write it back to the new vergin chip?

I'm sure you're aware that a VCDS with ST32F415 is definitly a Hex V2 and not a fake V1. I don't know why you say what you said!!
