Is there any way to update the firmware to use versions >20.4?

There is no way fo all. One user of this forum did it.

Where to download the latest version of VII loader? Do the cable software also need to be updated? Is there a separate program for this? I have the version as in the picture, is it the newest?

It will upgrade firmware if its diffrent in software than on cable.

You can downgrade firmware and repair this way , just install older version.

Only vcds.exe has changed from 21.7.2.

RT is waiting for a move from clone manufacturer.
