In this thread you have all files, a "how to", cable schematics, where you can buy programmers, and lots of other stuff.

You know once i put solution for autodata 3.16 on carhelp, it was xor axax's medicine for previous version which i reworked for version 3.16, when he saw that he was pissed even i told everybody it's his solution with my modification, so i learned not to post something hot and new that is not 100% your work and in this case dump for 10.6 is not my work at all

If 93cx6 is dead, and after when I replace it, should I reflash it? With what file, and what programmer/software?

Yes, you should reflash if. Use MPROG (if you have the *.ept file) or FTPROG (if you have the .xlm file).

It's an easy task. Connect the VCDS cable into the USB port (it's not necessary to power up with 12V). Then open MPROG or FTPROG, scan for devices, load the dump and flash!

Yes it is the same becasue Ft232BL dosen't have intern memory.
You write in this memory 93Cx6 and if this is demaged you can write FTDI with MPROG.
    Good luck
