The DP9241 is a chinese copy of the SI9241AEY, this is Single-Ended Bus Transceiver.

The 9241A's are not manufactured any more so they had to copy the chip.

I have not seen one of these DP9241's in action. May be ok.

I followed the topic, and opted for this clone...
there is too little information in stores when you shop...

could I replace those components so that I don't return the cable to the seller?

I hope my English is understandable.

You could if you have an old autocom/delphi vci, you will find 2 real ones on them.

Real ones are not made anymore.

v8 & v9 dual boards do not have them.

It seems to me that no one looks at the bigger picture of our days - many of the old chips that were in regular tools that got cloned are now EOL because were not eco friendly and to this you can add also the fact that there is a electronic components crysis , especialy on automotive specialised chips. If you look in all major electronics web shops you will notice that a lot of these chips are ordered and due to come in 6-8 months so prepare to unsolder older junks that may become gold in many cases and not to mention prepare to buy a lot of JUNK CLONES. (what you see in pictures is 101% not what you will get)

Antivirus software disabled? Loader added to exceptions?
It is possible that the antivirus program deleted the loader or sent it to qurantäne.

Maybe your device released the magic smoke aka burned voltage regulator?
