I have a 2012 Audi Q5. I want to buy a cable for my car. This thread is long and confusing as to which ones work and which ones don't. I am ok buying clone type cable, but not sure which one to buy. ATMega or STM32F405 version?

Also what is VCDS Loader? Is it a modified VAG COM?

the best for your car and for the newer is to have STM32F405 without loader or VIIPLoader for non english vcds version
but if you only need this particular model and do not care for newer car model and want cheap interface you could choose ATMEGA with vcds loader 9.2

Are there any options to unlock the cable STM32F415 ? Apparently I didn’t see it and connected to the Internet along with the connected cable. VIIPlusLoader writes that the cable is blocked. The cable passes all checks, but there is no connection to the blocks.

i updated my vcds from 17.8 to 20.4 with kolimer 9.2 loader. interface is recognized and vcds is activated but I cant connect to any module
any idea ?

i cant also connect to other modules , with vcds 17.8 version is no problem,
