VAG-COM/VCDS EVERYTHING

Hello guys, I just got my new cable from aliexpress and it looks and feels very cheap compared to my old one.

I'm not an expert but I looked inside and it doesn't even look like the one from the other reviews photos.

Some chips are blank with no numbers.







Should I even plug this to my car ?

I know I should have bought the one from obd2cartool as recommended but they never answered my many emails that I sent so they didn't deserve my money.

Is a old version VCDS, let say V1.
Atmega 162 based. And seems to be complete.
Sanded CI..maybe replaced with "equivallents".

Hmm, so is it fine to use ? Or should I open a dispute ?

Looking at other reviews this is what the cable looks like.

Is this a v2? Even the solders to the OBD connector look better than mine. On mine the obd pins are soldered directly on the pcb and the other is on a separate pcb. Don't know if that makes too much difference.





It even says V2 altough you say it's V1 style.

What I meant was even in the pcb it says V2 VCDS 2021-5-10.

Are both cables V1? Why they look so different ? The component layout is nothing alike.

Both are V1, with different PCB layout.
Just the plastic case is V2 style.

V2 version PCB is totaly different and without ATMEL chip (it uses STM chip).

which is the latest stable version + loader?
with the latest versions and suitable loaders I get intermittent licence revoke , when using various functions. I need to restart the programm then will be ok for some minutes again.

i never use it with internet connected.

for example I was diag an vag edc16 , DTC , etc and when I coden a can bus gateway module , .... bam , licence revoked (no internet connected)

I found that this happens only on some cars ....

My lenovo laptop has 5 usb ports,but it only works on one,on the others the license revoked.
