Just to clarify, I don't care at all for the english version (native german here). Just wanted to help others with these comparisons and tests.

btw. S12345 is not a security code. It only changes the session mode (Engineering mode IIRC). Security codes are numerical only.
    Mathematically, 22.10 = 22.1

I'm not an English native either, but I still think it is best to use the English version, and it would help us here to standardize our testing. It is pretty much the same reason we are all using English language here on the forum...

I did ask what else to test, what modules exactly, what steps. I want to help testing and reporting back, but not sure what exactly. Probably it should be a combination of things that are more complicated? Long coding is always risky with a clone...

    where can I download 22.10?

Software versioning is not based on decimal math. Actually, the correct version is 22.10.0. That isn't even a valid decimal numeral^^

Many people were saying that security codes were not working, while it was working fine for me. "Standardizing" testing (aka using only the english version ever) would not have shown that difference betwenn English vs. German.
(Also, why should I use something that doesn't work for me? )

The problem regarding testing is not the language but documenting what exactly was tested with which version, language, .... (and ofc the correct loader versions must be used. Probably problems result from bad combinations of VCDS and loader version.)
Also, interpreting the test results correctly seems to be a problem here.

Another problem is that people don't understand the differences between various clones and are not even able to match the right combination of VIIPlus Loader / VCDS Loader, VCDS and clone interface and then only report "does not work for me". Yeeeah, welll....

Until now, I have not seen any problems with Long Coding during testing. I believe it's a problem with the very shitty clones, while the better 405/429 clones *seem* to be ok. ...ish

Regarding testing of security codes, you could try to adapt e.g. the turn signal cycle count, which requires a security code.

What happens when you uncheck the 32 bit option? Doesn't seem to be required, is it? Anyway, I don't think it's relevant at all.

EDIT: ooooh. omg. This could be the reason for many problems. Maybe the VIIPlus Loader does only work with the 32bit version! The German version is 32bit-only....

EDIT2: CONFIRMED! Even with 22.10.0 (English) security codes work, but only when the 32bit version is installed. VIIPlus Loader simply does not support the 64 bit binary

The firewall option is only relevant for HEX-NET. You should uncheck it and also add proper blocking rules for VCIConfig.exe and VCDS.exe to prevent your interface being blocked.

I wanted to say that I tested the german version and security access works and in the meanwhile everything is changed here.
Tomorrow I will try with 23.30 and 32 bit exe (if the option is still there).

P.s.: I found another bug beyond the security access, in module 17 instruments you can not test the cluster functions ( I had to calibrate the needles), no problem with 22.10 german.

I'm sure there's much more broken without VIIPlus Loader (or when it's not working like with the 64bit VCDS)
