If it was a german 10.6 the seller should have it, maybe ask him. If it was just a 10.6 cable, than the german vcds will not work as tk500 already said, since it has not the right dump in it.

Obviously the 908 version is correct, but I meant that version for the 908.
There are several versions called 908, but not all are valid.

I purchased a cheap chinese vcds clone from a site a while back. Ive managed to use the lite vcds with a loader.
After reading this thread, I am more confused than ever about turning it into a 'real' cable.. in FTProg, it says my device is blank..

The chips on it are as follows:
FT232BM (top)
LM393 9AM AXG1 g4 (bottom led side)




What do I need to do?

If you use good dump, you can use original version. No need for patch, loader, cr*ck ("installer v100") or something like that. Just google for it or use filecrop. There is a package with 908/912beta, i'm sure it will work.

It's nothing you can do my friend. The REAL cable is this one which you have it now...don't expect to make this one working with newer versions of VCDS.

try it with and without crack, it should be OK either way
