That is absolute horsemuck. Read through this entire thread. Fly accused badrax of copying his hardware, when in actual fact Badrax was working out firmware to get members cables up and running again IF they are bricked.

Stop throwing accusations. Fly got a ban for exactly this behaviour

Unfortunately there's no solution yet, please also post photos both sides of your PCB from inside the case to see what version of stm405 got locked.
Also please specify which loader version used to update your cable.

Has anyone tried to update FW with new loader 08.023.11 on the 405 PCB (see photos)? Anyone got locked, illegal device on this 405 PCB after updating with loaders 08.023.04 - 08.023.11 ?
I have seen until now that got locked a different stm405 PCB than mine.
Users shall start post photos of PCBs that got locked to warn other users to be careful with FW update with new loaders.

From what i have seen, on AliExpress most of the sellers of stm429 are providing with the cable a package that contain VCD$ and KolimerVII Loader (displayed interface when you open) and when execute the exe is named BadraxVII Loader, and also on AliExpress sellers are selling same stm429 with same loader but with interface BadraxVII Loader as per photo of sanshao. The sellers warn you to not use Viiplusloader at all, their engineers will provide you updated loader that work with desired VCD$.
So, chinese sellers probably got pissed by Fly too by locking cables not manufactured by Fly but by others, and created their own loaders but with Kolimer and Badrax name for notoriety, pretty sure, to increase the sells.
So, from my point of view who received, who has received such a cable with other loaders instead of viiplusloader, better stay away from viiplusloader, especially starting with 08.023.04+, if you have a working cable with the other loaders and viiplusloader under 08.023.04 too, stay with, don't update.

guys, please share the link to the Kolimer and Badrax Loader for STM32F405 - I'll try to run with them... omg, this shit from FLY killed my cable.

@Pfennig when you ordered your cable, this year, from AliExpress? can you also post photos with PCB of your STM32F405 that got killed? I'm interested to see what PCBs got locked by viiplusloader.
Short info: STM32F405 based interfaces bought at least 2 years ago, seems to not get locked/killed. On other forums some users says didn't have problem interface STM32F405 bought 2 years ago, mine is also 2 years old STM32F405 based, i posted 2 photos few comments back (i will test this week the loader )

my cable hex-v2, STM32F405 based, was bought 10/2020 on AliExpress and works fine with vcds 23.3.1 FRM and VIIPlusLoader 08.023.7. No problem

Mine bought on March 2021 STM405 based from AliExpress, and used and using with viiplusloader from the beginning, i will test 08.023.11 this week too, hope to not have a problem starting from now.
Probably, these were manufactured by Fly...

LE: just updated to 08.023.11 also FW and not get locked, working with to 23.11.0.
So, do not updated via viiplusloader if you recently ordered from AliExpress 405/429, if your seller didn't confirmed it's working with viiplusloader, otherwise your interface get locked. Use loader provided by seller only.
