I bought an Aliexpress Cable for ~70€ and it got the STM32F429 chipset inside of it and it says H11-002336 on the label. It came with the VIIPlusLoader 08.023.07 via download link.
I read that the guy making this loader added some downgrade protection on newer loader versions, so I wanted to use 08.023.02 of that loader.

I installed the loader and the German version of VCDS 22.10.0 and it says the following:

SW Version: V08.023.02
FW version: V01.08.04
Release date: 09/03/2023
Serial number: 1N07...
Adapter status: user
FW version No 1: V01.10.02 (needs update)
FW version No 2: V01.00.05 (newest)
FW version No 3: V01.00.02 (newest)
FW version No 4: ********** (needs update)

1) First of all, why five firmwares?
2) When I try to update, it fails - no idea why.
3) Does this come pre-flashed with a newer loader firmware and I'm forced to use the newer loader?


Update process goes to 5% then shows me the version as "V01.10.02" and then fails.

EDIT: Seems it was flashed with .07 and it worked fine without doing an update with that loader version.

Hello, i have an updatable v2 cable with badrax loader and can't enter on adaptation on any module. Only coding and security access is available, the others are disabled. I'm using BadraxVIILoader_V9.23.09.001_2303(EST) for 22.3 EST, got the same if i use BadraxVIILoader_V9.23.09.001_2303_R1(ENG) with English 23.3. I have another updatable cable with viiplusloader and it shows the same. Is that normal? https://imgur.com/a/wUipstg

Dear friends,
I tried viiplus loader v 08.23.07 by fly for vcds 23.3.1 latest one worked and secury code works for some modules not for all at least for me .
loader upgraded hex v2 to latest fw v01.10.02 and now when i use vcds 21.9 it scans but adaptations is not readable and is greyout for all modules.
I try every vii pluss loader but fw will NOT downgrade to previous versions.
How can i downgrade hex v2 frimware to lower versions that i had and worked well with 21.9 ?

I think i have this same issue on the viiplusloader cable. I think i installed 08.023.07 months ago and then downgrade to 08.22.07 which works good for me but FW shows 01.10.02 so it doesn't downgrade? Is that the problem? https://imgur.com/a/b5LlMHe

Hi i need help to resolve problem witch VCDS 17.8 (1.95). In test (in options) vcds is working correctly, but problem is when i try connect for example to engine and another modules in car. During communication i see comunicate: "failure to communicate [0]", and i can't diagnose.

I received a smt32F405 cable, VIIplus 08.023.02 running VCDS 23.3, finds all modules of a Polo AW plus the security works. But when connecting to a polo 6R it does not find the ABS module strange enough. I have a VCDS 15.7 cable which works but this doesnt run on windows 10 (reason i bought the new cable).

How to overcome the ABS module issue with the new cable

Get in contact with the seller. The one sold with Badrax loader is only updatable with that loader. There's that many clones of clones, its becoming a pain to know which ones actually work.

If it was sold with ViiPlusLoader, they are generally ok.
