Is it possible to burn the gal onboard? Or only with an external programmer device? There is no instruction for this.

You should try that by your self, even if your spanish soft disables your cable you have here everything needed for repair.

hi i bought a dual k line interface on ebay 2 weeks ago. i used it this morning on my 02 audi and the software from the seller kept crashing(by the way the software was VAG-COM 409)so before checking around i downloaded vcds lite 1.0 and it seemed to work fine. does this mean that i can use any software that's been cracked ?

You need the last ftdi chip driver to work with your interface not vagCom driver.
Any good cracked version works good with your interface. You can use 311.2, 409.1 and vcsd lite. No metter which one but right cracked version.
    good luck

Ftdi is a chip inside the interface and is named FTDI232RL or BL or BM. You need driver if you like to have a comunication between you computer and the interface.
Ftdi Chip drivers you find here, it is the last one.
    http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/CDM/...0Certified.zip
For the newer VCSd you need other kind of interface, you need an HEX-CAN interface.
For your interface you need just that softwear I told you.
BTW don't worry it is normal to ask if you want to learn something.
What do you think that all DK mates are "engineers"?
One of us know others don't that's life but all of us we'll always learn something during all our lifes. Noone knows everything.
    Good luck

i dont recommend ftdi driver version 2.08.02
i updated opcom with their files and interface blocked
in my opinion, best working is 2.06.00 available here http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/CDM/CDM%202.06.00%20WHQL%20Certified.zip

I agree 100% with you im glad i found a smart and kind group of guys like all of you. thanks for the advice. Back to the topic. I downloaded 409.1 and loaded the new driver but it still freezes the program crashes and shuts vagcom down. however vcds lite 1.0 from ross tech runs fine but i can't do much in there. btw i am using vista 32bit for this and my clone is a KKL blue serial interface from ebay. i just realized i didn't disable UAC. can that be the reason
