As far as i have seen,right now there are no free dumps for 10.6 around,so
just run your cable with 912 software.

Indeed it was a great job this finding

But i have a little problem, i can?t run the exe. the program has 2 exe, one of them is the one that the shortcut on desktop leads to, and when i click it (the shortcut or the exe itself), nothing happens!

I've tried on 2 different computers (Windows 7 32 and 64bit) and the result is the same.

Can someone give a suggestion?

You have to set the shortcut created by the installer to windows XP compatibility, the correct exe is VAG1062.EXE

This is only for 10.6.2 cables that came with bad software.

If it's what they said the sw will not be a problem.
Normally they will provide the sw but you know the companies it is a Chinese one, everything could happend.

I have a problem with my cable vcds 812 atmega 162 ft 232bl I don't get to carry the files vcds908 flash and eprom.hex * with PonyProg2000 ,mais the files vcds805.bim carries normal it will be that has some protection in the atmega162 or the files that I have they are bad.

I bet in the USB-SERIAL Adaptor.

Usually they never work for this kind of applications: uC programmers, programmable automation controller...

You can try a PCMCIA or ExpressCard adaptor:

For old laptops with PCMCIA:

For new laptops with ExpressCard:

USB<->RS232 adaptors emulates a COM port and sometimes the emulation won't work for some devices (programmers and PLCs)

Those PCMCIA or ExpressCard adaptors add a physical COM port to your laptop.

I know, this post is some time ago but I think it is important to know:

"--> Compatible to USB2.0 Full Speed throughput"
This means, that the Chipset is universal serial Bus (USB).
In the device manager you will find "usb serial converter COMx) - same as a 2$ USB-Serial Converter.

Most cheap cards are working as USB-to-Serial. This is the same as you can use a normal USB-to-Serial Adapter. These cards doesn't even work togeter with many diagnostic tools.

Better you buy a card with Oxford chipset. Like the "EX-1350" or "EX-1370" or similar. These cards work as good as a real RS232/COM Port. I know many people who had this problem.

Try to connect an old opeltech or carsoft interface with the cards. Then you will see. It will not work, if you havn't an Oxford chipset.

Hi all. I've tried to repair my 704 cable and completely f*cked it up, been in touch with an ebay seller and he can provide a 10.6 cable, will this be ok to use with the vcds 805 software, or will I have to flash anything, also is there anything I should ask the seller about the cable. Thanks mick

Adjust the cable as VCDs 10.6 to version 10.6.3 en?? Anyone got a working DUMP? Thank you ... We VCDs CLONE making trouble, sometimes it does not find the pc ... pc is fine, so I want to try another version or 10.6.2, if anyone has unlocked DUMP please share ....

After thousands of posts, many good tutorials, and several hours, I am sure now, not to find any Dump for the German 908. But now I know that serveral people have it ^^

all china 106 have huge problems

I buy VAG com 10.6, chinesse clone. I use whit VCDS10.6.0 software, whith VAG-COM 704.1 and not working,
For test interface all OK, but tell vag com is not conected on car. Test is on VW Jeta 2009.
Interface is defective, or software, or I dont know to use?!?.
