The day before yesterday it works great on several cars but yesterday when I plugged again into the USB the drivers was changed. I fixed it and it becomes Unregistred.
I reprogrammed the Atmega and after I tried Autoscan in few cars ( several times ). The EEProm was erased again.

After FEW autoscan Atmega is erased by the 10.6.3, every new version is a "clock bomb" for the old serials..

Hi, I have 2 VCDS hardware, one is the Vag 704 with FT232BL chip which I can fix with no problem(downgrade, upgrade etc), and second cable VCDS 908 with FT232RL, which is broken at the moment and I can't fix it. I tried to fix it like in manual on DK about cables with RL chip, but this doesn't work for me.
My question is why is so hard to fix cables with RL chip. Is that really big problem to fix them? If cables with BL/BM chip we can quite easy fix, so where is the problem about cables with RL chip. What do we need to fix them. I know that they have different FTDI chip, and they build in slight different way, but they are not that much different. I ask it because is very hard, and soon will be even more harder to buy hardware with BL/BM chip. Nearly all new Chinese VCDS(10.62, 10.63) clones comes with RL chip, and probably the 11xxx version onward will be build with RL chip as well. So what will be solution to fix them? Nobody want keeps collection of broken cables at home. We want to fix and use them. If Chinese manage to made them, they also can be fixed? Do they?

Well maybe the Chinese dosen't want to fix the tool just becasue they need to sell more and when they did this FT232RL it was just becasue they dosen't want un upgradable tool.
Didi you tried exaclly like in Aminebot tutorial?
I mean did you reprogramm the GAL16V8 and changed the PCB circuit?

I have China VCDS 10.62 on FT232R.
After experimenting with different programs, I got the "Unknown device ". But before the experiments I'm using FT_Prog kept flashing.
I restored my VCDS with FT_Prog without a soldering iron, restoring the old firmware and serial number.

hello i have vcds 10.6 chinese... it worked maybe 10 day and then it died... when i plug it into usb cable is identified as "FFFFFFFFFFF..."... cable runs on ft232bl and doesnt have stc chip.. does anyone have solution for this? i will upload pics.. thank you

He meant that he has 10.60 clone cable from China .
How he supose to shere it with you . You have to buy one for yourself. If you looking for 10.60 atmega dump I dont think that somebody will share it for free

Yes m8, and if you connect your cable to a 1974 Volkswagen Scirocco, it will start a nuclear fusion inside of atmega.

He said that if you use a tool with 11.2 or 10.6.3 then if you use your tool with a downgrade version of sw like 10.6.0 or 908 then your tool ( ATMEGA ) will be erased.
In conclusion: after you try your loader then never go back to use the interface with a previos sw.
It happend to me too I told you.

No my friend... You dont understand... And when i say You, I mean a lot of You... There is no fuse bomb. You can't downgrade to any version... but you can't upgrade either, simply because the cracked version will mark interface as an unregistered cable on the AT eeprom area... Why it still works on a cracked version? because the cracked version bypass that check. The right way to say it is: you can't use an original version after use a cracked one...
And you can use a previous version... If you use a cracked previous version. Now you know why yellow guys sells the crap cable and provide software version 708, 805,908,912 and 10.6. ALL CRACKED and with the warning : Do not use this crap cable with any other software...

I also trying repair FT232R with FT_Prog but i dont have the backup.
