    Hi people.

I have a cable that once powered with 12v the led starts blinking red. I?ve tried to reprogram ATMEGA with latest dump 11.11.0, the programming went fine with no errors whatsoever, but once the programming is complete, the led keeps blinking red.
BTW, the FTDI is an RL and the cable has GAL.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks

For this tool as yours it is not enogh to just reflash Atmega
You need to reflash GAL too
Solder 2 wires from Atmega to GAL and one wire from FTDI to GAL
    Reflash FTDI if you need and remove 4 components from PCB ( 2 X rezistors + 1 X tranzistor + 1 X STC )
For all this procedure you can find a tutorial right in this thread
    Good luck

Yes that's right or any short cut
But if you try to make a test on a car you have to see this
    K1 - short to ground
    Good luck

    Thank you for your reply.

I believe this image is the schematics that you were reffering to.
I'll try to do what's on this image, but once done, how can I reprogram GAL?

Welcome. I have the FT232RL interface, I tried a number of safe combination flash, eeprom, and configuration ftdi, I can not run any version of vcds, possessed v10.6.5 pl. Please use the hint which files to revive equipment [en or en] because I read a lot of posts and I'm still "green"

    mate
you have a very good kind of VCDS tool with FTDI RL
The only thisng you have to do it is to reflash Atmega with dump fro 10.6.5 Polish version and maybe the FTDI if you need to do this
But you cannot use the VCDS 10.6.5 Polish versions with your tool if you don't have a loader, becasue of FTDI 232 RL
    Good luck

    P.S> I haven't seen a Polish loader for this VCDS 10.6.5
but you can find for VCDS 11.11.0 English version

As I know you can a home made cable a LPT one as the one you use for reflash Atmega but I never used and you are on your own
I allways use professional solution not homade one ( becasue many time the home made solution dosen't work and I spend time for nothing )
As you allready know "time is money"
    Good luck

    I understand.

But in my case, this is an hobby for me, not a business. So I'd rather make an homemade cable to save money and to practice my soldering skills
    Thank you for your help
