Yes, I did that: power 12v obd2+ conected to laptop(usb). Read: Interface not found!
Device Manager : RossTech.....

My cable has FT232BL, this software will work only with RL?

Should work. It is not FT version dependent. If you use adapter with protection chip and vcds loader, you must first unlock the adapter by running the loader and then use HW detection tool.

Hello all
I just purchased a vag 17.1 online and when I try to test usb interface it always shows not found when I am plugged in vehicle.

But when it's unplugged it sees it and says 'Not plugged into vehicle'

Anyone know what to do?

Corrupted firmware. You must flash Atmega. At least on old version of software is so!

Very good question. I also need in german this soft. For me is does not matter what kind of language is, but for others peoples... It is very hard word - make decompilation - compilation, but if you make a good offer to Kolimer in PM, who know...
Anyway Kolimer made one very good job and share this to anybody. So nice jump from version 12 to 17.

My 16.8.3 is the last real stable version. The rest of 17.1.x are more or less stable but never "real stable".

ROSS READ ALWAYS, EVERYTHING, ANYTHING...

And about that tool, tested on R and B version. On R work well, on B not work.

If you mean internet connection need for update of software, then you wrong, have another way....

1. Is "very true" what you said. Is recomended.
But - and here is about "2" - sometime, some guys want to access "wiki ross tech" and others sites for errors descritions, for solve, for adaptations, coding procedures..etc.

The solution is that "wiki ross tech" offline.
