I installed VCDS 18.9 from Ross, and i used VCDS loader from this site, now When is Ok "Can" when is not ok. If i take a test and Can is OK and i want to do an Autoscan to my car give me this message "Function not supported by the gateway"...gateway.JPGok.JPG



BTW... I still have an old interface which was 11.2, and a guy upgrade to 15.5 two years ago and is still working very good, but i want to make update to 18.9...Is possible to have the same experience with interface from China?

I just wanted to thank everyone involved in getting all these tools and cables working.
before I found this forum I bought this cable, which I now realise I paid waaaay too much, but anyway...

The supplied CD was DOA so I had no instructions and no compatible VCDS version to install. With the tools, links and info on here I was able to reflash the cable and get VCDS 18.9.1r1 up and running. It even works with my 5F Leon (2013) which is an MQB and not supposed to work

all just to re-code an upgraded battery

in any case, I figured I would post my results for anyone else who might have the same cable/problems.

1st line - some EEPROM is flashed but hell knows which. It should not be expected to be valid out of the box;
2nd line - bootloader enabled.

Hello dears! Here I read here smart people and bought "the only correct cable" on a special link for members of digital-kaos on obd2cartool, option hex+can. The goods came all the same from China. Scheme 44 HW when contact 34 and 35 pins of the Atmega on the GAL chip, but the firmware of the cable 0x46 HW! Had to alter under 44 HW... Where's the quality? Or am I missing something?

If i understand correctly, a clone of hex-v2 should be sufficient, right? what are the differences between hex-can and hex-v2?

The fact that you have not given anything gives, there is also ATF / GAL 0x44 0x46 firmware and a hybrid, they control the atmega contacts.
Everything works on both version 0x46 and 0x44.
Therefore, here you can find a post where it is written that a scanner without logic is like a man, but without eggs.

This scanner does not add zeros to the encoding in whatever version it is).

Of course it will not work!

HEX-V2 is ONLY original, clone doesn't exist yet.

obd2cartool SELLING crap old clone of HEX-CAN interface, in the housing simmilar as original hex-v2,and that is THE ONLY similarity with Original HEX-V2.

This Clone can not work with new UDS protocol and can not do long coding to BCM as well....and can't do many other things
