    Get some tiny wires so you can solder them on Atmega.
    And will talk more when you have all "that stuff" (harware and info) on the table.
    Ok! This the Harward Test result:VAGCOM HW Type_FW_1.84_HW_0x44_Bootloader_Enable.jpg
    I´m working in solderings an tiny wires (it´s a piece of cake for me)
    Regarding programming, I´ve just downloaded the kolimers loader v7.2 (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uaR...2TxLaxolz/view) in a 143MB zip file:
    "If the tool shows that bootloader is enabled, you can flash EEPROM using
    VAGCOM_EEWriteLang.exe. It uses custom firmware and after flashing the firmware must be
    updated back to original using VCDS (Options->Test and FW upgrade will be offered). Default
    language is English but you can choose any other available language from the dropdown list in
    VAGCOM_EEWriteLang.exe utility.
    If your cable has bootloader disabled then it must be updated using wires and a programmer
    (search eBay for USBASP)."

    So, ¿does it really necessary the USBASP programmer?

    His is 0x44 in reality and it seems to be flashed 0x44 as well.
    So no soldering/programming is required - he can reprogram using EEWrite tool directly
    I can calculate ABS module codings for:
    * Continental/Teves MK60EC1 and MK60;
    * TRW systems in Passat B6 / B7 / CC /Tiguan;
    * MK100
    ;
    * Bosch ABS8.2, ABS9.0 and ESP8.2, ESP9.0;
    * EBC 460 (UP!, Mii, Rapid, CitiGo, Fabia, Toledo, etc) New!
    *
    ... and other VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda modules.I can assist with repairing \/CDS interfaces.

    Hi everyone, (sorry for my bad english)
    I have the Vag 182 cable with FW 1.96 - 0x46 which is giving me some problems.
    In practice I can scan the ECUs but when I have to apply a coding I get this message: sorry but this function requires a licensed interface.
    Yet in VCDS the license is ACTIVE, and I was careful not to connect the notebook to the internet.
    Should I re-program the interface?
    Can you help me and tell me which files to use?
    Thanks for your help

    @Skyfunk use Ewritelang from 8.0 loader to reflash your cable if bootloader is unlocked by connecting the cable to a 12v source or to your obd socket in tbe car. If bootloader is locked you need USBASP to reprogram your cable, you can find tutorial on this forum.

    Cheers!

    Before flashing something, try the software from the post #8417.
    Pre-testing the cable using the program C-Test.exe

    I did as suggested, I reprogrammed the interface (the bootloader was not locked) and now it works perfectly.
    Except that I used the loader 7.2
    Thanks again

    Dear hid3, please, could you check the steps 3 and 4 below?
    Step by Step:
    1- HW type was checked on my VAGCOM 11.11 interface PCB (leg 34 and 35 of Atmel62 are connected with legs 4 and 5 of GAL16V8) and with VAGCOM_HWType.exe that my HW interface is 0x44. Checked!
    2- Bootloader is enabled. Then, I can flash EEPROM using VAGCOM_EEWriteLang.exe (in the same folder as eeproms). Obvioulsy, we need the 12Vdc supplying our L7805.
    These steps were perfectly understood,,,however I have two doubts before continuing:
    3- then I must install ""VCDS 18.9.1"" and copy VCDSLoader.exe to main folder of VCDS and run it (loader).
    4- then I must do the TEST of the cable (still connected to 12V) it will ask for update FW (""from FW 1.84 to FW 1.96"").After this updating this is done, I can do another TEST and I will see the new version installed.

    Please, could you confirm the data between "" "" in the steps 3 and 4?
    Besides, in which moment I must programme the FT232BL with Mprog with their template .ept?
    Kind Regards.

    It seems like there are some problems with 19.6.0, especially with Autoscan not working or working intermittently, they keep releasing new versions, latest seems to be 19.6.0.7

    3 yes and 4 yes, you're correct.
    Reprogramming of FT232BL can be done at any point - it doesn't really matter. Do it before flashing if you want

    My suggestion for everyone would be to stick to 18.9.1 version.
    Since the Dicatator is reading this forum more attentively than his own support mail, I won't hesitate to tell that in 19.6 version they (intentionally?) broke some of old HEX+CAN interfaces support. Most likely this is caused by part of their game of "MY2019 cars not supported". Expect such errors as 'Unsupported vehicle', 'No ASAM data', 'No ROD file found', 'Function not supported by gateway', etc.

    Background: some users owning GENUINE called me asking for urgent help - a car comes to their workshop to have some work performed and they simply can't access some modules. In all cases downgrade to 18.9.1 resolved the problems 100%.
