for STM 32 seems that are different pcb layouts and different (or missing components). I was told that 32F405 can be updated , etc
what is the ok PCB version ? many many thanks

The original HEX v2 has this component marked in red. Look at this photo:

Thus I think that the clones with it will be better, there has to be a reason that original PCB has this thing.

I have got a problem. My China clone cable worked good in the past with VCDS 12.12, but yesterday I decided to update it. I used VCDSLoader_v9.2 (flash firmware etc. worked good) and installed VCDS 19.6.1. The problem is now, that there is the message "CAN not ready". Can anyone help me please? I have done all steps which stand in the Readme PDF at the VCDSLoader folder. i would just uninstall all software then reinstall 19.6.1 again then just copy and paste boot-loader to directory delete shortcut on desktop then click on boot-loader in directory and send to desktop to create shortcut. had similar problem and it worked for me.
But 20:12 works with ATMEGA 162 chip just download from ross tech and paste vcdsloader_v9.2 into directory.

hi anyone know which year vehicles the ATMEGA 162 chip can go up to before you need to switch to a faster STM chip getting a Skoda Kodiaq 1.4 2020 vehicle and not sure if my old cable would be any good. Thanks

Maybe atmega 162 will not work 2020 cars.

Yes, I connected it to an Audi A3 8P 2007 and now everything works fine.

It depends on the specific car/models and its equipment.
Already in the 2014 modelyear you can find cars that require a real HEX-V2.
When trying to connect to the specified controller, a message appears: Interface not compatible.
As a rule, it concerns the most expensive equipment options: side assist, blind spot

you will need vcds boot loader 9.2 i would not use the Chinese software use kolimer works great with ATmega 162 CHIP.
Just download from site then as Chinese version tells you to use whats on their disk.

Hi all, new on here but also looking for help with a copy VCDS 20.4.1 I have. It was working fine until I got the message (license revoked)... I still says the cable etc is fine when I do the test but can’t actually read any modules due to non valid license. Is there a way around this?
