Latest 20.12 is working, if you have atmega and kolimer loader. Uninstall 19.6 and install 20.12 use it with Kolimer loader. Tested.

I purchased this cable at aliexpress HEX V2 USB ATMEGA162 + 16V8 + FT232RQ and receive the instructions not to connect the laptop? to the internet connection and the software suage can be blocked. To install 20.4.2 in http://www.360diag.net/a/downloads/O.../0925/597.html and the instructions is with VCDSLOADER.exe


This is the first time I will ever use anything connect to my a4 2015. I am trying to install for the first time.


I see you point out my cable ATMEGA might be able to use the official version 20.12.

So what are my steps?

1. Download and install from ross website software 20.12
2. replace the .exe with kolimer loader? (where to download it? what is kolimer that everyone is talking about? is he a username? what version is the current one?)
3. does my computer needs to remove internet connection at any time?
4. connect cable to my car, so i can reset service internal notification?

1. The software VCDS is included in the package from Kolimer
2. Kolimer is creating periodically an archive with VCDS + loader + files to read and upgrade your ATMEGA interface , you can easily scroll back this forum to find a download link
3. Your computer may remain connected to the internet , as the loader is protecting the access of VCDS to Rosstech servers
4. No quite sure about your question here ... Connect cable to the car ? Just plug it to the VAG connector and to the computer , there is no specific order. If you are asking HOW to reset , it is very easy to find tutorials about this , this is car type related
5. Be aware that Microsoft Defender embedded in W10 -and other antivirus programs - are always flagging positive some files included in Kolimer package , you must give them running permission .

on golf 7 this keys its showed on ballons for any module,to bad that not happen on ours car

I am a little bit lost.

By connecting the cable, I mean it connects to the odb2 port right?
So kolimer is not the loader itself.
Aliexpress seller gave me some specific instructions, is my purchased upgradable to 20.12?

I assumed everyone bought the cable from aliexpress..?
