vehicle connection test ok, interface found, contact, select engine and eject interface not found
As you wrote i understand you test interface without power?

Steps: Interface in "obd2" plug of car, to pc usb, contact, open VCDS by loader, test. Here must be K1 OK, K2 OK, Can OK or Not

Save, About: license VALID with Green.

If this is happend, try interface on another PC.

If not, try if driver is ok in device manager and try if when launch loader OK appear in left-down corner, before loader screen disappear.
If not OK, loader not made it's job, probably because of antivirus.

If OK appear try write flash+eeprom with the tool from Koli, vagcom_eewrite.exe, as bendzji said you. If not work, suspect FTDI defective.

I recently received my F405 interface and I'm glad it uses the new kind of voltage regulator which is rated for up to 40V input. In the past there were some interfaces that had a bad voltage regulator which was even failing the first time when the interface was used.

The capacitors used in this interface might be a bit of an afterthought, but I think they are also an improvement over the previous kind of interfaces.

Guys I have problem with my interface, it seems dead.
I used @mepsnet picture as it is the same, circled red what is burned.
    Can it be fixed?
What is that component and what is the right part number for replace?
    Thanks!

Mayby it's high-speed CAN transceiver. Something like TJA1057 in HVSON8 package.

Search this thread for "DADU" and you'll find more info about that component.

Thanks, I found it but from what I read, I can't buy anywhere?!
Is there an option to fix the cable, or better buy new one?

use any other can transciever for example tja1050 but you must solder it with wires
you must check voltage regulator too
from my experience with 2 dead interfaces when dadu transciever burns out voltage regulator and main mcu are dead too
before replace can transciever check voltage regulator and mcu (vcc and gnd pins shorted or not)

    Hello guys,

can a VCDS version newer than 19.6.1 be used with old HEX-CAN interface with loader 9.2 ? I installed 20.0.x with loader 9.2 but it still opens vcds 19.6.1.
    Thanks

Unistall all version. Delete Ross-Tech folder and install new version.
