Hi guys,
I have an old VCDS cable (12.12). I installed VCDS 12.12 DRV (from the mega collection link) on my Win10 laptop and started it with the KolimerLoader.
Unfortunately after a while windows defender quarantined the loader and then VCDS showed me a message "To use this function an genuine cable is needed". I guess the VCDS version detected the fake cable and flagged it somehow? How can I fix this?

Hi all,

I got a working VCDS 11.30 software with a cable FW 1.84 (like those in the pics).
Can I use this cable with newer versions? I got an updated car where 11.30 unfortunetaly is too old.

Thanks for your feedback. There's no bootloader on it right now, so I need to use USBASP to flash with Kolimer's solution, correct? I desolder STC without connecting anything on the open pins? And what version to flash (0x44 or 0x46, the pics in the README look different and there's no GAL-chip)?

hi,
use VAGCOM_HWType.exe (inclued in Kolimer’s package) to know hw version of your câble. I think it’s 0x44
just desold stc chip, no other thing to do

I tested and it works perfectly like the old configuration of ARM STM32F405 with software 21.9 + VIIPlusLoader 08.021.10 (Beta)
