    ok, now we know you are using first release of 18.9.1.
    Missing something? Maybe loader version?

    - the computer knows the cable drivers
    - LED on cable ALWAYS OFF
    What vcds vers. did you use?
    Did ever worked?
    Share pics with pcb.

    Led off migth be bad reflash/ wrong fuse bits.
    If your bootloader is unlocked you can try reflash by usb.

    well, since I mentioned errors happened with 18.9.0...
    I though 18.9.1 second release would not even work anyway?

    Loader is of course 7.2.

    The LED had to light up when I connected to the car, but nothing

    Hi, im having problems with my newly received hex v2 clone from aliexpress. It is not possible for me to get it working. Windows recognises the cable sometimes but vcds is not able to establish a connection, it freezes then inside test option. But mostly it does not get recognised by windows, instead it is shown as "unknown device" inside device manager. I was never able to get it working, tried at 3 PCs now... I attached a screenshot from device manager and pics from inside the dongle. maybe you can advise me .. thx
    I tested it on my android phone and as soon as i plug it in, it gets recognised and iam offered to open it with torque. Inside torque it is showing me values. Sometimes my phone recognises it as "null" and sometimes it is recognised as " Ross-Tech HEX-USB"
    Dont know if it is faulty hardware and I return it to the seller or if there is a way to get it working.

    Bad quality clone.
    First try with another cable (USB A to USB B, aka "for printers").

    For "time to time recognise" make this: Mount USB cable, power-on clone and DON'T TUCH the clone. Try put in USB more times. Recognise?

    Damn... Why do you n00bs keep buying low quality non-working interfaces (there has been at least several posts with identical hardware) instead of the recommended ones and then come here for help? Contact the seller, Ali or Ross for support on these or buy normal one
    I can calculate ABS module codings for:
    * Continental/Teves MK60EC1 and MK60;
    * TRW systems in Passat B6 / B7 / CC /Tiguan;
    * MK100
    ;
    * Bosch ABS8.2, ABS9.0 and ESP8.2, ESP9.0;
    * EBC 460 (UP!, Mii, Rapid, CitiGo, Fabia, Toledo, etc) New!
    *
    ... and other VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda modules.I can assist with repairing \/CDS interfaces.

    Wouldn't the postage cost more to return to the seller than the actual cable?
    You might try to ask for a refund

    Some good cables are recommended here: https://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forum...=1#post3504897

    The site indicates the high quality... but then in the notes it is written in red:
    "Not work friendly with MQB platform."
    Why?

    Because only the official interfaces HEX V2 and HEX NET are currently working on the MQB platform!

    Just installed Kolimer V7.2 and it works like a charm.

    Thanks for this genius loader! Kolimer, you are the best! Thank to all other folks providing me with info. Didnt expect it to be such a breeze.

    What then is the difference with the old cable?
    Only that HEX V2 is faster?
    The old cable works on MQB

    Old cables do not fully support the new platform, some modules can not be read, some encoding can not be done, etc! If you use the interface on older machines, upgrading is not necessary! I mention that it is only my personal opinion!
