A) use piece of paper see how far away it sucks out your hand
B) sound meter see if louder on 3
C) Leave on fan 3 walk away untill seems quite then activate other speed
Ducato 250 year 2017
A month ago had new double (engine radiator) fan with new relay and new resistor, all included,
now throws P0482-13 Fan 3 - open circuit.
Fan 3 is fan 1 with other speed (different voltage)
Via diagnostic if I activate the single fan everyone works, I just can't tell if fan 3 is faster or slower compared to fan1.
Fan speed is not an information you could get from diagnostic.
Will check for fuses, cables, etc...

I have seen somewhere a hand held rev counter, you just paint a target dot on one
fan blade and take aim.

No need of extra instrument.
The funny big large connector of the relay in the fan pack was not completely in for 0.0000005 millimeters so one coil contact was not touching.
Now it is fully in and even if it looks correctly fitted I add an extra thing so it will not come out. Easily. I hope.
Now when I activate fan 3 it is clearly louder and faster than fan 1. Because the relay now it is correctly activated.
Also diagnostic report no more errors.
Another happy customer.
