@Kaalis: That speed not usefull. I think USB (FTDI) + protocol cannot work at this speed realy.
And as i wrote here few time ago.."V2" is a little lazzy like "regular" HexK+CAN (a good clone).

besides of the chip getting hot, any other problem with that cable?
it could be kaalis theory of 16V8B being PALCE instead of GAL, but i couldn't find any cable with GAL chip...
do you have any other recommended cable?

https://www.latticesemi.com is the producer of PALCE GAL16V8. Indeed, ORIGINAL Lattice GAL16V8 not said in clones.
Only ATF16V8 and this "petards" PALCE 16V8 - probably chinese clone.

Because of great consumption the temperature rise inside the case ...the quartz became hot, the circuits too..the functionality i don't know how is.
Very much disconecting from controlers.

Hi guys,
I have a strange situation with one interface which is not working as it should. So, it’s a clone with Atmega162, MCP’s, FT232RL, 7805 reg and without 16V8. With first release of VCDS18.9 and V7 loader after using it one time now it’s keep saying “not pluged into car”. LED is green when conected to car and win xp.
Any ideas ? Thanks alot.

From where did you take the software and when did you download it?

See if security software erased your loader...see About section from Vcds? License green or red?

Software 18.9 was downloaded from RT website directly on 10.10.2018. Loader is V7 and no antivirus installed. Previous version inside clone was 18.2 EN and was working fine.

You can try few(or more) pages back to find a working link with 18.9 or try to change loader with v7.1.

Atmega 162 firmware helps, but there are cases with such symptoms with poor ATF/GAL soldering.

Hello, Atmega 162 firmware Flash1.96_HW_0x46.bin and eepromavr_HW_0x46.bin, fuses lock bits and security bits for UPAUSB done. GAL not soldered at all and such circuses.

If you have Atmega, then check if you can flash with usb. If that doesn't work, then solder wires / make connections and use usbasp to flash (or other programmer). After that you can flash the language you want with usb connection.

Korek // HW 0x46 maybe Atmega DEAD or bad soldering. Why bridged D7 ?
