Ok I purchased mpps v18 and read ecu great but I made an error of writing original St flash to the replacement spansion type and now the ecu is not recognised, is there any possibility of recovering this ecu or do I have to buy a new flash to solve/save this problem.

Have you get the original files with mpps by multiboot?

If you connect mpps recognize the ecu?

If yes you can write back the flash, micro end eeprom... Always in multiboot....

I have the original files that I read but since writing the wrong flash I have no comms with the ecu

When you connect mpps and choose id, have no connection with ecu?

No connection to ecu and no I.d ecu seems to overheat now when powered and no i.d, I might try to swap the flash from a scrap unit and see.

I have another ecu which had slight water damage, communication now is ok but have 2 faults p0090,fuel pressure regulator and p0030 ho2 sensor,seems to be a +5v issue from ecu.?

What flash you write?
You should have i.d. when connect the ecu with tool.... Eeprom is ok? That's weird...

I had written totally wrong file in that ecu with ktag.... (Bad probes pin contact...) And after that I totally recover the ecu....

I'm starting to think my mpps interface is bad as I managed to write flash to another ecu by obd but using multiboot ecu I'd is ok but when trying to read I get the message sub function not supported or invalid format, any suggestions?

Take a ktag, if not recognize the ecu, choose manually the correct one and write back the correct files.... And that's it...

China mpps? I had buy one v21... I don't remember any difference with v18... Any way...
I read an eeprom, after 10 minutes, I try to write it back..... And guess... The tool stop working...dead...
I was lucky.... I didn't brick the ecu....

Try to buy from trusted source your tool...

Not from any cheap eBay seller....

The tools from China are not all the same.....

It appears to be ok with the St flash but gives problems with spansion type,yes I rushed into buying it as it was the only one available in the uk which was the quickest delivery time for me , I'm sure it could be useful for some jobs but not all which leaves me dubious about buying k tag clone as I might have similar problems with a bad version,I suppose they're all a bit of a gamble

Can anybody help me here. MJD 603 ECU. Uploaded flash thru obd with galletto v54 clone without troubles. After download, can't detect the ECU. Can somebodyhelp me with pin connection to the ECU on bench? Thanks in advance!
