    Suggestion for E book section

Would it be an idea to have sub sections for genres? So you could have a sub forum for Crime and another one for Sci Fi etc?

People could then post requests in said section, or possibly spot a new author they may want to try etc.

I tried doing it myself some months ago, creating threads for, autobiographies, football, ect, and threads for collections of certain authors, but people just post individual threads, rather than keeping them together in one place.

maybe a sticky in the ebook section asking members to do a search before posting something may help.

I'm all for making the section more tidy but would people really know what the genre was when they're posting? I know some would because they'd take the time to find out but others won't.

I think the regular posters would know what section to put books into. There could be a specific request section for people requesting books.

I think though the ebook forum could do with a tidy up, and was thinking what would be the best way.

You're right in the fact that some people will still ignore these and post wherever, but I think the majority would get the idea and post accordingly.

hmmm, ok if we do have different sub sections the regular posters would have to keep an eye open and report any posts that they think are in the wrong section, because i and prob the other staff wouldnt have much idea where the ebooks would go, but ive got no problem with moving stuff as with the other staff, so im for it if the rest of the staff agree

I was thinking about this the either day.

Could we not have sections for requests or a prefix in title and a way to say filled.

Also a hardware section for all the different readers out there

This will probably still be a mess but sounds like it should be given a go...think you would need something straight to the point though because mmmm books have to many sub catagories you could use.

even fiction and non-fiction sections would help, and i agree on a request section like cunny suggests with each request being marked fulfilled as and when they are.

I would even go as far as limiting people to say one request a week, this would stop certain members from constantly requesting books, there are people I ignore nowadays.
i would also ask for an option to report a thread for removal if a book has already been posted,
imo double and even triple posting of the same book clutters up the ebook section more than anything.

I also think that once a request has been filled. The thread locked to stop 1 time posters. The thanks button is enough.

I think that users should also kind of swayed to use the search function of the forum before requesting a title.
