***** out of some words

I know that insulting words are **'d out and sometimes certain words can become victim to that.. eg..

s_c_u_n_t_h_o_r_p_e = s****horpe

but how come m_s_a_t gets **'d out..?

eg **** as in styste**** direct..??

is this just a peculiarity..??

because it happened when i ran **** and they had it starred it out
