New sub section or renaming current section.

How would you feel about either a new sub section or renaming the Home Entertainment & HD Media section in PC Advisor

to an Advice on Buying and repairing TV's and other major home appliances.

We have a TV engineer on here (I'm sure there are others) who is willing to advise on repairs, help with locating spare parts etc. with his help you could attempt repairs yourself and save some cash

As to Home appliances I'm sure we have some white goods engineers who would also help in the new section.

    What do you Think?

Any ideas or suggestions gladly received ?

Are there any other AV techs or white good engineers who would be willing to help out in there.

Please post if you are willing to help.

    Thanks Lads

Great idea. Even if it's just advice on what/and what not to buy. If there is also help on maintenance and repairs - excellent!

                  Hello Red Mate,

I've spoke to DF about this and got his permission to post this, but we need to see if there is enough interest 1st to see if its viable.

So We need some more interest really 1st, (The more the Better)

We could also do with some more engineers on board to help out and to post in this thread regarding their skills etc. White Goods, TV's, Other AV etc

We also could do with some guys in AV/Home appliance retail to help us with the buying guide side of things.

As to a replacement name that will also need to be decided and agreed with Admin.

Hopefully we will get the go ahead but more interest is required to make it worthwhile to the forum and the members.

If we get it going there can be advice and reviews on different TVs/dvd players/blu ray players etc as well as repair help with anything electronic from TV's to washing machines.

Thanks all for the interest so far.

The More the better think GMB,

It's looks like a general D.I.Y/repairs section all household goods and services might be popular. (Plumbing, Electrics/ AV,/Groundworks etc etc.

V8 Dave is a TV workshop Manager who has offered to advise on TV repairs.

                            Thanks Dave.

We could also have a service manual section in downloads and upload any manuals we find on the net etc?
