Hi! my name is Eric and I joined this forum tryig to look for answers to my ECU not working.
I had problems with my ECU, because of trying to delete the EWS, now the engine does not start. My BMW e46 330i from 2001, sometimes didn't wanted to start, when it was not going to start the dash light would not turn on, if I would turn of the key and turn it on again if the dash lights would turn on then I knew that the engine was going to start. Because of that I thought that I would have something wrong with the key comunicating with the car.
I tried making new keys, as that would not solve the problem I thought that the problem was with the EWS, and then is when I ~~~~ed it.
I read the full MS4X page and watched some youtube videos, and thought that I was goin to be able to do it. as precaution I made two backups, one from ms4x flasher and an other one with JM Garage flasher with the ECU in Boot mode.As the original version of the BIN of my car was Siemens_MS43_430066, I tried to delete first the EWS with the original file (having always a backup a part), but did not found how to do it, as the comunity pach is only for the version 430069 and did not readed the data from the 430066 correctly I used the definition file of that version from the MS4X page as the XDF file. but did not found any option to bypass the EWS as I could find with the comunity pachlist for the 430069.because of that I tried then to update the firmware to the 430069, also downloaded from the MS4X page.
I had a youtube video where they did that, so I thought that it would be easy to follow. (is this video: https://youtu.be/xpFWoUtKfTY?si=zDyPwhgyBb3tSpyk) I followed everything, but the car would not start after doing it.After that I panicked and tried to write the original file with the JM Garage flasher. but it did not start either (even when the dash lights where one). After that I discovered that the error was with the ignition swich and I replaced it, now the dash always work. but I messed up the ECU, so now I have a car that never runs.does someone know what would I do to solve this?also I made basic checks on the car, as checking all the fuses. also checking for spark, any spark is ocurring, but the coils have power, also the injection ramp has presion, and the starter works
somethint that I could not find is the checksums correction, in the video, he disables the checksums, but in the MS4X wiki I read that this does not disables all the checksums, and some checksums corrections should be done, but I don't know how should I do them
