My name is Sergio, I own an Alfa 156 2.4JTD 20v, I bought it 10 years ago, since I got it the light on the pannel indicating an error is always on, indicating a p0601 error (checksum error by the fiatecuscan software)
It is being pass the mot every time but this year because of new law it didnt pass. I also found that the refrigeration fans are not working any more and concluded that the driver chip Bosh 30407 inside ecu is faulty, so I decided to buy a second hand ECU and begin to enter on this world as I have to learn how to program the new ecu for my car, I am also interested in turn off the egr and who knows I can learn a bit on remap my car for fuel economy as this motor is doing around 8.5 litres/100 km
I have a ktag programmer do the reading of original ecu and write to the new one.
