Hello to All
Just a regular American , I was born and raised in a military family " U.S. Navy " my father was old school navy and starting at age ten he took me to help him work on civilian pleasure boats, because a navy salary doesn't feed four kids. Joined the Marines at 18 because the Vietnam war had just ended and six million mature men will skills returned to the US from Vietnam , and businesses were not hiring know nothing 18 year olds with no work experience.
The Marines sent me to Radio communications school and then onto radio repair technician school, where I learned to repair printed circuit boards in radios. I got lucky and was assigned to work with Ratheon testing GPS in the early 1980's . I am a Desert Storm vet and an Operation Iraqi Freedom vet . The last 18 years I have been working on civilian boats here in Florida, rebuilding some commercial long line fishing vessels, I usually take any work that would feed my family . My wife and I raised three daughters, and payed for college for all three to go to college. We find ourselves still working at ages 66 & 67 to save money for when we are no longer able to work. But we love to work and are in good health. Life is good here in Florida " as long as you have a cooler full of ice water and a fan blowing on you " Thank the Lord for the DeWalt batter powered fan " . Any and all inquiries are welcome about boat electric, electronics , from stem to stern , if its electric I have repaired, replaced or fabricated it .
