I am the owner of a 10years old (100,050km) Skoda Octavia wagon with a 1.4/013kWTSI engine in New Zealand.
The vehicle has primarily been used for touring in the South Island of NZ - no communting and little short running as we also own a Nissan Leaf.
My question is when -if - I should be changing the cam belt. I am aware of the changes the VW group made in mid 2023 - extending the life of belt to effectively life of vehicle.
What countries have adopted this change? NZ dealers till saying 7 years 140,000km.
