Hello all,
I have a 2018 Ford F-150 (in US), 2.7L EB XLT Sport 4x4
A Porcupine chewed on the front wiring harness, which shorted out the BCM.
I repaired the wiring, and purchased a used BCM, and had the ford dealer do a parameter reset and PATS programming on the keys to be recognized by the donor BCM.
It appears the tech changed the original VIN on all the modules to the donor BCM Vin with the exception of one module.
The issues I had with the original BCM are fixed, but now there are a few new ones due to the incorrect VIN.
The truck seems to operate fine, with a few fault codes... ABS, Trailer braking, TPSM, and the performance selector on the console shifter no longer works.
Is there a way I can reset the correct VIN to alleviate these issues?
It it possible to be done through ForScan? I have the extended version on a laptop.
I also have the AS Builts of all the modules of the original BSM saved to my laptop.
I also plan to back up the donor AS Builts to the laptop also.
Thanks for any help id available.
