run the program, update it, answer a few simple questions and let it download all your files and a custom tutorial.

Well this is what I would do.

If you have a 3.4E I would let it do the online update to 4.3E which is the last Wii version number. Then you can use LetterBomb (http://hackmii.com/2011/08/letterbomb/) then you won't need to buy\borrow any original games discs.

This will softmod your Wii only. You would then need to backup your NAND (first very important job you MUST do there are tutorials on here), install PriiLoader 0.7 to block any online or disc updates. Then choose which USB Loader you want use, I recommend USB Loader GX there are tutorials on here.

Oh you need a large suitable mains powered HDD to stick all your games on, job done.

You have bubbles showing because either don't have an SD card inserted or you have no programmes in the app folder.

So you've softmodded your Wii now?

As I've just said You would then need to backup your NAND

BootMii won't load because you have softmodded correctly. You should do all three options when you softmodded.

1. Install Homebrew.
2. Install BootMii on Boot 2 or IOS if you have a 4.3
3. Prepare SD card this puts the [bootmii] folder on the SD card so you can run BootMii from HBC.

i have installed homebrew on wii

You just said you've softmodded your Wii?

If you are going for 4.3E then you click on the update button in Wii Settings.

If you update to 4.3E now you will have to softmod again.

Just hang on a bit and see what other users suggest?

When you softmodded did you do all three options?

So if it softmodded with the MD card and adaptor inserted the files must have been read else an error would have shown.

If you only see the bubbles when you choose Homebrew from the Wii menu as I said it because it can't find the SD card. While the bubbles are showing I think its button 1 or 2 shows and option where to search for devices to run.

Get yourself and proper size 2GB SD card they are cheap enough.

I assume you formatted the MD card FAT32?

If you press the Home key when the bubbles are showing you will see the BootMii option.
