Setup port forwarding, then once you know your ip all good. If you ip is dynamic then use dyndns dot com to get round that.

i have a ni-ip address that i use for server, i have opened the port in question then tried 192.168.XXXX.XXX but its not letting me access it from outside. i know the port is forwarded as i checked on canyouseeme site.

you will need to allow a specific IP in oscam.conf
Not advisable IMHO

192.168 etc etc not an internal ip address m8, surely it would be the ip your isp gives you :-)

Safest way Id reckon is have something like logmein or teamviewer on a pc or laptop, then you can use a app or outside pc to login and connect that way.
Out with that I dont think so as the webif needs to know what IP it allows.

i changed the config in oscam.conf to 0.0.0.0-255.255.255.255
then got the external ip of my machine and tried from diff location
always make sure you have strong password on webif though. and remember to restart oscam after altering any settings in the files in order for them to take effect.
let me know how you get on.
