tried 8bit 16bit, different eeprom from list, no luck, i google that removing pin 6 to 8 might work, then again, no luck.
open to any suggestions, this is my first time with 93c56 :stung::stung::):)
trying to program a suzuki liana, got the immo 93cl66 programmed, i removed 93c56 on ecu but won't write :mad-new:

you need clean chip pins
and to confirm all pins connected. then it read and write with success .
good luck

Done all that more than once, i even apply solder and remove just to be sure i had clean pins, I will clean my clips just to see if that is the problem.

programmer does not give me option for voltage, can only test, is automatic and is using 5v, see result from test

fairchild, that's a whole new game for me, I'm fairly new at this, leave in a small country, no electronic parts supply, lol, everything i need i have to order from new zealand or u.s., i guess i'm stuck for the time being, does anyone know if x431 will match ecu to immo?

Smd ic? If yes, no short circuit or bad contact in your adapter?

Smd ic? If yes, no short circuit or bad contact in your adapter?
checked several times, disconnected and reconnected, i don't think that's the issue, I can erase, once erased it verifies, after it won't write, did a blank check no results.

be sure your clip is true one.
example PIN 1 in GQ to IC pin 1 and all other pins.
I used this device for a long time and always done my Job with success.
and some time you need to move speed writing from 2 to 1 or 0 or to other.

Hello ,
Is it was put in reverse way , it read only FF FF FF FF an 00 00 00 00 00 . The real ptoblem is that the 93c56 eeprom is verry sensitive : 1 from 3 are it become defective during lifetime . The GQ-4X programmer is verry good . Other way the Carprog programmer is verry weak . Conclusion : when 93c56 work read good and can't be writen ( with error message during checking after write ) , all you want to do is to replace that !
Best Regards .

You will need the device menu of 93s56 and not 93c56!
