EUROVOX EX5000 PVR wont come out of standby

I Got a EUROVOX EX5000 PVR at the weekend I installed a 120gig hd
all been working fine, apart from when I switch it off on the remote, then next morning it will not switch on, and I have to switch it on and off from the button at the back which is a pain.
is it this software fault or the PVR playing up
I would leave it on all night but it seems to get very hot and wanted to give it a chance to cool down

have u tried it without the harddrive in ? l never turn my boxes off ..

I have UFL_ex5000 fw on it and it's only of a night when I switch it off.
It's ok if I switch it off for a short while, it will come back on, I have not tried it yet without the HD, but will give it ago, but I do hope it not that as it easy for the wife to record with it

Same here, locks up over night. im sure I read somewhere this was cured by using ver 1.1 and not 1.1A. Not sure if this will cure the problem as not had the time to try it yet

i got 1.1a on mine andwatch it every night but every 2 or 3 days it wont come out off standby have heard if i reflash it it will cure the problem but at moment cant get my lead to work

Re flashed it and seems ok at the mo

Take that back, box still gets stuck in standby
