Is this the same procedure for a second hand pump as well? I've tried this several times using both launch (official) and an IDS clone with no luck. Maybe I'm doing something wrong in the procedure? Should I delete all keys, then do fuel pump, then add keys or delete all keys, add keys then do pump? Not sure I tried the first one of those but I'm running out of ideas and with waiting for 10 minutes to reset the RIM each time I'm running out of patience too Always seem to end up with B2139 and B2141 DTCs

you second hand pump dont have same serial number like original pump and ecu dont comunicate with pump, if immo led is off or blink slowly, ecu dont comunicate with pump, if flash quickly ecu comunicate with pump but need rematch with ids or kts special function

Thanks, interesting. When I turn the ignition on then immo led lights for 3-4s and turns off... so I'm guessing what you say is correct (ecu don't communicate with pump).

So, er, what next? Have to get another pump? No way to procede from this state?

must find another second hand pump, with same number like old pump ( number stamp on aluminium body pump ), if is right pump, immo led flash quick , indicate comunication betwen ecu and pump is ok, but immo problem becouse is not paired, after that pair with ids, kts, focom

Thanks, suspected it might be something like this... I wasn't involved in replacing the pump, just called in afterwards when it didn't work

Hello DK m8s.By Ford vehicles, engines 1,8 tddi, psg 5 adaptation pump all done with Focom interface or clone Ford vcm obd 2011 software.Dont go in special functions where see psg 5 pump.Only select vehicles, year, model, engines and when communications go OK,you will see into menu with reading, erase dtc,flashing/programming/adaptation, no longer remember and this is function for that.Just press this function and wait about 15-20 min and in the end you will see a message that the"adaptation successfully completed".Turn ignition off and ignition ON,engine start OK.Many times have I done via OBD socket with focom or clone ford vcm obd 2011 software.Regards to all.

    hello friends

i epair Ford cars every day and it's very easy to replace FIP
you can use Focom for coding vp30 or vp 44 FIP

    PCM/Ecu programing/Fuel pump adjustment

Since the VP44 repairs on these seem to break i'm interested in replacing.

In your opinion is it the whole pump or just the VP44 unit ?

They seem to run too hot what suggests to me the whole pump is at fault

    Thanks, Steve

The menu to match the pump ids depends on the final number ends 4 reference if the menu is in locks, if this ends 6 in pats.
if ends 4 does not lack outcode
