I'm going to have a go at this today on a 2004 Punto.
I can't find my GT15 Lishi anywhere - whats the best way to extract the barrel from this?

When the trunk lock is in good condition it is also good to make a key from it. Just 2 screws holding the lock and then, there is only 1 pin need to be removed and the plug comes out with key code stamped.

EDIT: In good condition I meant if customer is sure the key worked also in this lock.

dont waste your time boys, most of these puntos, open passanger door, you will see an airbag lock. pops out in 5 seconds. All cuts are inside, and number printed on barrel. 2 min job.

I'll test this mate. Good tip. Sounds faster than picking and decoding...
I'll post some pics to help others when I finally get back to the car.

If you mean what is seen in his hand on picture- I don't think it's paper clip . This might be the retaining clip that holds the plug

Flathead screwdriver removes the lot from the dash with a gentle pry...
Pop the metal clip out that kemaster pictured with same flathead - barrel falls out. 10 seconds! Dead simple.
