Ford Blaupunkt NX nav code

Hi all bit of a nightmare, battery went flat on my new car and now the sat nav head unit is asking for a code. I don't have it as it didn't come with the car and ford say they need to take it into workshop to get the serial then send off for the code.

Is anyone on here able to get the codes please??

Just out of curiosity I was looking on eBay last night and there is a German seller that says they can supply the code as my serial is listed. Would it be worth buying or a complete waste of time?

Some people have got the database, so not really out there .. it should be ok..
With the older model we can use a calc to get the code, this ones a git...

I bought a code off eBay and it worked a treat. Only cost about £8 After the currency conversion so a lot lot cheaper than using the stealers
