hi, any easy way to swap bcm on an insignia? clone eep?

I think I remember that I read something a couple of years ago, on the Cruze model.
That you are supposed to go in by OBD, and prepare the BCM for changing first.
And then add the other BCM.

But I might remember wrong. It was a long time ago.
