hi guys had a few issues for ages but not bohered worring as worked ok. I am using uloader and when I try to run some games the following happens.

blackops: loading dots start and then freezes
Metroid Trilogy: load a game and restarts to system menu

other games just go black screen and some say "reading banner" and just stay there

tied using usb loder gx and tells me that i need to go get some stubbed IOS.

the new HACKMII is installed and the nice looking homebrew iupdated installed last week too. I am on the orignal release wii with 4.2e

try installing uloader instead http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...taller-143444/ to get black ops working with uloader put cios installer in apps folder start homebrew start cios5.1 installer, select 224 install with base of 57 that should be it no need to change anything else then boot game using 224
for metroid trilogy switch on alt.dol in loader settings.
also update your cios249 with this Digital Kaos - Downloads - cios38 rev17

Unhappy Help! Errors With Installing CIOS and Uloader

    Hi,

    (Current Version W 4.2E)

After hours of research I decided to take the plunge and follow the tutorial at the top of this thread.

Ok, so I downloaded the files to install homebrew. I noticed that the homebrew channel was installable but the bootmii was not. So i proceeded and installed Homebrew only.

Then picking up on your thread, downloaded complete4_2.zip etc. and went through to step 7.

    In step 7, i coudn't find IOS222,223,249 or 250.
I proceeded, but then i got errors in step 9 where it says
    Error RET = -1022. I couldn't install the files.

When i exit, ULoader wont work as it need CIOS222 and 223.
Plus in SuperSmashBB I'm asked to UPGRADE?

How do i install the missing IOS files - will this get ULoader working?

    Thanks

sounds like you have missed a step go back to step one and start over.
when you install the homebrew channel you need to install bootmii if you can't install it as boot2 then install as iso

...just to let you know, I tried it again from the top and it worked.

    Uloader works fine.

When I pay Super Smash BB, (not online) I'm asked for a system upgrade?

I was on 4.2e. Is this normal?

Double click the installer bat file. Enter sd drive letter.

This installs all the files on your sd card.

Remove sd card from your pc.

Insert sd card into your wii.

Select sd card on wii and start the card.

    Now follow the instructions.

After a few seconds the homebrew channel etc will be on your wii along with a few other channels.

    Words of gordon ramsey!

    Done!

Anymore than that mate im gonna have to get a bigger spoon!
I have tried this and the wii just freezes when i select the SD Card (fw=4.2E)

I have also tried other methods in the tutorial for installing homebrew channel but result is the same (wii freezes and has to be rebooted)

    Any ideas?
