undo and remove 2 of the 3 bolts in the bottom Pully and slacken the 3rd and then turn the Pully up to 12 o'clock , put belt on a turn back to 6 o'clock , bit of tension but not bad , then put bolts back into Pully

Yeah that's basicly how I do them... But there is a tool made for the job on that famous auction site.. but all it basically is is a bit of flat bar with a half inch square welded on the end of it to go in hole on tensioner...

Default Nissan Primera Diesel crank sensor

Nissan Diesel Crank sensor, for a local taxi firm, the dealer even told him there wasnt one on the car!! But after checking the resistance under the bonnet plug/socket we knew it was faulty but what a pain to remove. I was mobile at the time and had to work under the driver side wing only to find that the senosr went to powder as soon as I tried to remove it with hardly any force. It was fitted down a metal tube, like an ABS sensor and took 6 yes 6 hours to completely dig out with pointy scredrivers etc, I got do fed up with it I did 2 hours at a time, there was no way to get the new one in till the housing was completely empty of old one. I later had another one on another car and said" NO WAY!!" to customer but guess what that one came out no bother!!

UNSURE IF ON TOPIC OR OFF TOPIC:-

Mercedes SBC braking was that right there is a motor on the brake calipers?

Just nicked a set of alloys from the parking lot over the road, way going to skank the calipers as well, but just brake pipe no motor wires?

    ON TOPIC:-

Audi TT - front wheel nuts, took a LOT of effort to remove the wheels.

We put the nut on FINGER TIGHT, drove out in the parking lot, drove back in, took a LOT of effort to get back off again.

Had loads of fun with my 156 v6.

Cambelt was a bitch for me doing it as a complete novice with basic tools years ago. (Later checked timing with blocks and it was spot on).

Half my bolts seem to have turned to rust - all four bolts on both headlights snapped - thought I would change the wings and slam panel to sort this then 3 out of four bolts holding the slam panel to chassis leg snapped.

However nothing I had ever seen on my Alfa could prepare me for working on french cars.

Citroen XM 2.5 - to remove inlet manifold, disconnect jungle of pipe work then find you need it up in the air to get your arm (up to your elbow) in the gap between the subframe/exhaust down pipe/body with a 2 foot long screwdriver to remove EGR clip....

Still have a K reg XM. In fact it's her birthday this month, she's 20. But this one's a 2.1. The clip goes on exactly the same way as it comes off, I guess a helper could hold it in place whilst you struggle underneath up to your elbows in crap. That said I found that if you removed the right wheel and liner it could be done much easier - read that as 'real pain in the arse'. I've bought 2 scenics to keep her company...
