remove eeprom press read {3 pins red } continue anyway see if it gives correct miles if yes save file and carry on programming......

can't remember exactly which eeproms but some eeproms show bad connection enigma does not need them connection to read and write.......

Yes that is normal for eeprom 24c16 (3 pin red). Continue anyway.

24LC16 in some cases is Roteted.
I have the same problem on a Clarion Radio that have this eeprom roteted.

If you say so please post datasheet with this chip rotated pins.

I have never seen a Clarion radio with a 24c16 in it ? only 93c46 rotated pins.?

Enigma certainly can do this vehicle as I have done them myself. They work fine with the chip onboard. If you do take the chip off I think you will find that pins 1, 2 and 3 are all linked on the pcb.

Which voltage you use for reading? 4.5V is very good voltage for reading. I always desoldering eeprom from board.

24c16 using enigma always 3 pins shown as no connection ( "red" ) just read past it and you should be ok as I never have an issue this way. The same goes for programming 24c16

Hi, try this if reading 24c16 out of circuit, join pins 1,2,3 & 4 together.

Rito the enigma will definately read this onboard. Read the eeprom and take a look at the data. You should also be aware that you will also have to fit a filter in the dash as it will write back the mileage from the ABS module. So if you dont have a filter ready to do the job you are wasting your time trying.

Post the dump you have I will take a look at it. But did you understand you will need to put a filter to stop the ABS controller writing the old mileage back. Or do you a machine to do this.
