There are no patches for tm 600/500 boxes they are linux. You can dl keys or manually add them. Unless you are sharing with someone elses box/card a linux box is of no use to you. Does less than an ordinary technomate unless you have access to a card or a server.

down load the latest patch for your box then the latest softcam, unzip them both and copy the unzipped files onto a usb stick.put the stick in your box and press usb on the handset select the patch 1st and load,wait for the box to re-boot then select the softcam and load.make sure the patch you download is for the TM6900 super.you can then open channels on 1W & 23.5E but not much else.

go to system information in the menu that will tell you if its patched.
try this load softcam,using usb port digi tv should then open.you only need a cheap usb stick I got a 2gig one from t*sco for a fiver.
I"m afraid I"ve never used a diablo but there should be plenty that have to give you advice,

the patch wont stop the diablo cam
from opening digi-tv check the configuration section
in the cam menu and make sure the N2 A/U is set to off
if it's not this is why the cam wont open digi-tv

everything is ok on the tm6900 so yours should be ok as well
if you did'nt load the tm softcam after the patch try that first
next have you checked in the box menu> system info>ok are the cas and biss menu bars showing? if not type 2004 on your remote then they will appear, if they are showing go to the options in the menu and turn the digi-tv A/U off exit and reload the tm softcam this is just incase the A/U has gone down this will stop the patch updating false keys

my TM6800 is running fine on 1W if you re-load patch and softcam through the usb port you wont need a loader.

No it's not open, thats patch allows official cards to be read.

A patch is unofficial software containing keys that will allow access to some encrypted channels without payment.these keys are changed every now&again.and the softcam has the new keys needed to continue viewing. If you read the threads on patching it may help you to understand it.

I've just downloaded this softca, extracted to my usb stick and uploaded to my box, however it hasnt made any difference and the channels are still scrammbled - anyone else like this or have i done something wrong?

my techomate system keeps locking up with the message initialzing USD disk... then nothing happens it just hangs there. i have switched off but no joy - normally it sees the USD memory stick

i would be extremly grateful for any advice

I sounds like your usb stick is the problem. I would suggest you put the USB stick in a pc and run 'ckkdsk' to cleanse the stick.

The readme file says:

that soft cam is definitely working ok on sirius, romantica 1/2 hustler/blue hustler(pb/pg) espn classic etc,.re-load making sure A/U is off in options.if still no good try reloading patch followed by the softcam again.
