active protocols are into your mcu tool, not into software, so chinese ksuit don't add protocols on your ori tool

Yup, I used 5A power supply, in user interface shown the power is 12.10V I think is enough to cover the operation.

Hi Thanks for reply. For now I have fixed (recommended by fifii69) with placing diode 1N4148. But I think the result of the reading and writing isn't right, I have compared with Fgtech 54 and Willem programmer.

So what is the perfect solution for fix k-line issue? the method of reading and writing like a pushed/forced, so the result become not real.

i even don't know the perfect solution. I think every clone has his own bugs, so you have to look at your components and compare to original parts.

You are wrong! V2.08 is very real with newer firmware than V2.07. Some new protocols require virtual read, that's it.

Always the clever one.

Not all new protocols need a Virtual read, mainly the VAG protocols, but there were other manufacturer protocols released which do not need virtual read. Anyway, if you are resourceful there are means and ways.

The protocols still work so YES you can use them, it's just you need the file to write (virtual reads), if you can get them, then you can use the NEW protocols.

Very angry as i cant read andy FORD delphy MPC 555 ecus. IDs OK but wont read!
i read psa dcm3.4 and audi me7.x all ok.
But i need it for FORD delphi.
ALso my board has some golden resistors(strange) and anotehr one welded on the back.

The gold resistors are fuses that re-arm themselves after cut power.

My first kess2 couldn't read my focus either, but last one i bought for 1/5 price than the first works like a charm with them. It is just a matter of luck.

After spending many hours reading all posts and diferent forums, gathering information, and testing my shitty kess i came up with a final solution.
FOR ALL v3.x PCB users. Doesnt matter when u bought the kess or software it came with.
1. Download contents of TF card and this particular setup of 1.93 suite (software moded by me )

2. Format TF card as FAT 32 not just FAT. copy TF files and go to Properties select read only for all and subfolders too.
3.install k suite 1.93 with redist 2005 and drivers, everything setup will offer u. (u ll need old 1.0.00 .09 usb drivers to make qsuite recognize the unit included in setup)
4. DIsable internet!!! run suite and let it update, do nto skip. as there is no internet it will update files from SD card.
5. now u are good to go. U can use from now on any Ksuite version u wish

U k line should work now and everything else( unless u have a bad hardware)
This is the most u can squezze out of the shitty 1.89 v3 pcb china clone. If u want better u need a new NPX and SD file for HW 4.x

WARNING- do this procedure at your own risk. worked ok for me so far, further testing in progress...

Some pcb's have issues too, not only wrong (cheap) parts.
On your pictures i can see that there was made a handfix k line fix, so with your Tool k line should work.

Ones only modify some parts from china Clones and set up with new MCU and the other is with complete new made pcb (without bugs) and with good components.
And china clones will always have "bad" (cheap) components.

so a original PCB would be ideal. slave cause its cheaper than master...second had or smth otherwise its too expensive.

ECU Bosch 0281 011 940 (3 plugs) , my kess can not read it (wake up error), tried by kline and can and different speeds.
I presume there is a chance to read this ecu on table, can somene please share help manual how to connect this ECU with KESS as I didint get help files...

V2.09, no one gives me real answers. One told me 100 tokens before reset??? Bullshit!!! V2.08 is about 20 token then reset...

Also I ask how many guaranteed token, NO answer??? My opinion, be careful before you buy such.

Update on kess v2 Ford TDCI Delphi mpc555.
I tried to read OBD. ID perfect, No read (error change of session)! :(

i had to remove, open ecu and BDM. Could not even BDM. I realised i had ground on pin 5 of Bdm, but pin3 had missing ground.
Compared with similar ecu from focus, 3,5 both had ground. So i gave ground to 3. and BDM ed perfectly.
COnculsion: If ground is missing in pin 3 i guess no Kess can read the ecu!

PS. anyone knows if we can use Kess+tricore module and cables to read ecus direclty to connector as if it were OBD?
( this way i can test on another ecu my kess, i dont have the car here for OBD)

haha the theory sounds good but in real it is much more complex :)

there are people who can disassemble the nxp and it is no problem for them to change the counter. But nobody will do or you have to pay much money for it....but nobody will do this, because for that money you can buy original Tool from alientech.

it's the same why no of the "dealer" will sell you the files or you have to pay arround 3-5k Euro and for this money you can buy original tool inc. hardware and subscribtion...so it doesn't make sense and nobody who want to make money with the clones will set the counter to unlimited because he know that his customers will always contact him and so he earns his money (anyway if the reset is will take money or not)
no dealer will give you lifetime support i think that should be clear and than you have to pay once more some xxxx Euros to get it working.


And for newer (newer than v1.93) there is no "free" file to reflash....so you can't do this by yourself!

So just think of why there is a counter inside? Money money money :)

I know a lot of Professional tuners, most have at least one clone, sometimes only as a spare, never seen any go to prison for owning a clone tool, that's ridiculous. Chinese selling now latest software version 2.10(firmware 5.000), but firmware is still OLD 3.099(software versio 1.89) So nothing new protocols than older 1.89 version. So useless for newer cars!!

No programmer will read a locked LPC. Of course you can read China firmware back from NXP but nothing newer without cracking the mcu

I have seen this quite some times now - but no one has actually been more specific about it. Where in the PCB are the errors, and when/how do they manifest? I have a ME7.6.4 that I cannot read - when I try I get "security access" error and I get an ESP error that I need to clear with OpCom. Is this due to a bad PCB (or PCB components) - or lies the error somewhere else? It's quite a pain that I cannot even read the ori. :/

I even let pcb supplied for about 30 minutes with more than 30.5v. In this time nothing got hot on pcb. It still works very fine as you can see.

I also attach a video to see my improvised supply. I had to connect 3 sources in serial mode:
- 12.34 car battey
- 13.8 supply voltage
- and 3 AAA batteries (4.5v)
That is how I got 30.52V!!!

Some recommend when that code is returned you should let key in ingnition switch in prior position before ingnition on for about 30 minutes..... I can tell you something else..... Pcb has some hardware issues.

OK. I cannot get a clear shot of them using my phone - but the two chips are:

"N05A" and "L9613 E9247" The latter looks to be an ST Micro chip. Does that help you, or do I need to get a picture of them?

EDIT: The ST chip is an ISO9141 chip right? and the other is a LM1117 3,3V?

10$ quality parts on a China ordinary clone doesn't transform it into HQ tool. Only cp has real quality approaching genuine quality. Newer fw 4.036 doesn't make a cheap China clone reworked with less than 10$ into a HQ tool.

Chapest solution is buy a china cloned pcb and update the firmware to 4.036! It will work perfect at most cases! It depends on the quality of the chinsese cloned pcb.

Absolutely. Different manufacturers = different qualities

If you are lucky, you can find also full eu made(rebuild) pcb and its best quality, use original parts, no chinese clone.
