@ibratex - If you reset a PCF, you no longer have an option to go back to life, you need a lot of information to be able to use it again, you need flasheROM and eep-extended, it does not only work with hitag pages.
Another option is that they (Xhorse) can give, is to create a firmware download as bmw, for other models
And I think that option will not be available, because to do so removed the vvdi-tools
Another option is someone who passes the firmware for the pcf and remote you need. that option I think no one will give it freely.
What you have left is to leave the PCF blank and your investigate.
If for some reason a manufacturer makes the mistake and does not block the PCF and you are lucky to take that full firmware already have an option for your investigation.
I would also be interested in your firmware :-)

thank you friend,checked dump,this programer use the default low baudrate 9600bps to read data.
VVDI PROG changed baudrate to 153600bps to decrease read time
baudrate change step:
1.Use low baudrate 9600 wakeup the chip, if get the correct response,go to step2
2.Start change baudrate, due to the d70f3624 doesn't know own osc frequency,programer need send it the accurate value
(VVDI PROG put some common-used osc value,so you can see try frequency xxxxhz info)

3.Programer send the new baudrate value to d70f3624, vvdiprog use 153600bps
the d70f3624 can calculate the new baudrate with the osc value, but if the osc value is incorrect,you will get a wrong baudrate
(eg: the actual osc is 4Mhz, if you set a 8Mhz osc value and change the baudrate to 153600bps the chip will set a 76800bps)
4.Use the new baudrate to communicate

Maybe the osc frequency is not in VVDI PROG osc value list
Please grab a new dump with vvdiprog,need to further analyze of the problem.

in the list its under MCU,

but I already figured it out.
you can read Dflash just in case if eee partition is damaged,
in that case you can set size of Dflash and read it. otherwise, if eee partition is fine you cant set dflash size without erasing all data.

So I have been impressed with the VVDI tools so far and now completed my VVDI equipment set by adding the VVDI prog.
I bought the PCF79XX adaptor as well.........

Can somebody help me with this thing? I have a few chinese BMW E90 keys with PCF7941. They were previously programmed on cars and therefore locked. I soldered the wires on the board as per diagram and selected PCF7941 In Circuit. Then I pressed reset security.......
Now When I read transponder on any transponder machine it would just say UNKNOWN TRANSPONDER. So my guess is that the chip needs precoding.
I then select REMOTES -> BMW THIRD PARTY. I open the file and press write but it says "CHIP NOT CONNECTED". The diagram also shows a key PCB which is very similar to Original keys.
So my question is: CAN VVDI RESET the chinese BMW keys? If so then could somebody explain a procedure?

Can we also do other keys like peugeot / citroen? How can I copy data from a brand new key with PCF7941 to one that was previously coded? Is it possible?

If you can erase pcf7941 ,a new personalised file must be loaded to chip ,depend of key and version like mk3

Why is Vvdi-prog file, for like astra h cim. vw52 airbag, is smaller when you read-it. Smok jtag, r270, x-prog, upa, etc. Have the entire file.
It replaceses some portions that are all ff, with nothing. So when you use a clear crash programm, it will not work.
And by the way, on vw52 you are missing the connection on PTC3 mates. It won't work without-it.

Someone are having issues to write into EEPROM Atmel 24C02 ?
Im trying, VVDI Prog read perfect, but to write give me error.
VVDI PROG try to erase and fail.
I was reading and does eeproms have write protection, when is not connected to ground (gnd), if EEPROM are connected to VCC have write protect.
So, there is some way to write into this eeprom?
OBS: I have tried with many voltages.. from 3.0 to 5.0v and nothing.

Problem is with reading and writing (eep and fls) Motorola mask 1L59W in Audi A6 C6 ELV J518 --->2010. The mask 3L40K reading and writing (eep and fls) without problem, any time.
Problem is only with 1L59W mask. I read and write this mask finally but I tried few times. I tried on 4pcs. ELV and 2 PC and problem is the same.
Please check it and correct.

only not verfy in The first two bytes of every 512 Byte and again not problem
excusme for my bad english


MB91F061 should be verify ok,it work like this:
the data total 64KB,there are 128 small data area(each area memory size 512 bytes)
after you wirte a new dump,if the first 512 area change,VVDI PROG will auto calculate 2 bytes named 'verify data'
about the second 512 area,the first 2 bytes will same as last 'verify data',then this area also auto calculate new 2 bytes to the next area.
so if the write the new dump usually verify failed because of 'verify data'changed.

yes,vvdi prog support write flash for 1k50e/0k50e.you should select the correct type unsecure or secured.by the way,if your chip is damaged means write flash will fail.

Have a problem, kinda weird question i hope someone can help me understand what i do wrong. today was second Range Rover CEM i tried to read (09 range sport), first one few weeks ago had the same problem but in the end i made it. today i did the same thing, took resistor out, connected all the cables but when i got to the GND i couldn't solder it to board what so ever, tried for almost an hour. can anyone point at something i do wrong? put flux on board, cables and solder head, all the other cables were just fine except this one.

Hi there Guys.

So I had a W211 Ignition with the Ok50E MCU. Connected wires and checked them but the VVDI Prog just keeps failing to read.
I resoldered wires and same problem. It give some error of security error or something like that.
I then connected my tried and tested R270 that always brings up smiles and VOILA it reads perfect. So is there a problem with the VVDI Prog on this chipset? I have done plenty benz EIS with R270 / Xprog / AK500 and only recently acquired my VVDI prog and it's not reading this chipset.
I haven't used it much on any other 9S12 chipset yet.

Something which irritates me with the vvdi prog is when you pres READ and it opens a new window. If it fails to read and you press READ agin it opens another window yet again. And sometimes by the time you get it to read you have about 10 BLANK windows open with no purpose. Can't they either make it read to current open window or maybe give the option to users in settings. Maybe some user like new window everytime press read while other user don't like it. So have a setting for it in menu.

Few months ago I tried to read hc08 from daf immo module and guess what?? EEprom erased. I don't have to mention how big problem it was. When I finally got car repaired I made a test. Programmed new eeprom with xprog and then tried to read with vvdi and same situation, eprom erased. If something happens twice it's no coincidence. With xprog I can read and write without any problem. So beware. Samic if you still reading this and willing to repair vvdi I can send logs bins etc.

VVDI Programmer doesn't have your Freescale MAC7242 on support list!

For that MCU you need something like CarProTool Programmer.

I used the 32 > 64 converter from VVDI but it doesn't convert it right. So i don't have a solution for this airbag module now. Samic can you explain this? 32kb file included. Why doesn't VVDI read/write 64kb data (Dflash) like all tools? I added the connection diagram with the VVDI wire colors.

I got it done with UPA. It read it first try, no problem.

I had 12v power connected to VVDI, it wouldn't read at all

I read also 1J35D and now the Ignition is DEAD. I can eeprom but ignition is no longer responding.

I tried to read Tricore ECU TC1796 / TC1976 and it give CHIP ID but fails to crack chip security. I connected up the FG TECH on the ECU and it read immediately.
I read the CAS3+ MCU with VVDI PRog and that worked perfect.

If you use the last version 2.5.8 of the software , try to use the previous version 2.5.7 . I have the same problem and it solved the issue. I think that the lastest version has a bug.

BMW FRM repair has a definite glitch. I tried on 2 different FRM's. It does read it fast but no good result in eeprom manipulation. X-Prog does this slower (reading flash) but restores EEPROM good.
Remote/Proxy key renew would be a nice add on.
Otherwise, It has become my num 1 programming tool.

Read P-flash, Erase eeprom by resizing it to max size, leave D-Flash size at 0 bites. You'll get your communication back.

No luck for me with vvdi prog.
Maybe at 20th attempt it resized, but the module could not get coded. Xprog no issue at all from the first time. Repaired plenty.

Tried to renew bmw e series 868 key. Vvdi claimed operation success but in tango key is now recognized as transponder type A:) locked. Does it work for someone? maybe my device is faulty?

I did renew 2 keys! Both worked and now ar programmed to cars!

So it must be something with my device or me:) I tried with and without resistor. In both cases same situation. I'm working on 4.5.6 version.

Renew BMW series E 868 key - 100% OK z vvdi v4.5.7

What resistor!???? Only thing you need to disconnect from PCB is battery while writing the renew file.

There is nothing mentioned in manual about remote renew procedure.!??

When you click connection diagram there are two boxes: pcf adapter v2 repair and Remote-diagram. Choose the first one. Did you do it inciruit or desolder?

I think that is only for those who have older version of that adapter. Older version came with 33 ohm resistor and later they decided that it is not needed and newer adapters like mine came with 0 ohm resistor that is just connecting both sides together without resistance.
If you have that 33 ohm resistor then remove it and short-connect it.
If you have 0 ohm resistor, then don't mind that first box in connection diagram. It's not for you.

Ok sorted I changed PC to newer and all worked. Is it normal that after renew key shows that it is keyless go?

Hello everyone. I am trying to read the FRM module with vvdi prog and it seems like it is trying to read but at the Eng it gives an error. It say something like " not correct frequency" I'll find the picture and post it. I have not touched the wires length. Has anyone seen a problem like this???????
