Passat 2011 color display engine error km same

My customer has a problem, i did the km's (only 7000km lower). The car has a engine problem (also before). I cleared the errors with vcds. The customer drives a while and the engine code come back with the original km's!!! I tried to clear also with abritus, same problem. I searched for errors a level lower, nothing found. What can it be? I recoded the engine same problem???? Suggestions? Thanks

What engine size is it? If it's 1.6 diesel
Then the km are stored In the siemens pcr2.1 ecu.

Yes it is active in 1.6 siemens ecu only way is to correct km in ecu

Customer is gone now when he call i will read the dash no. To be clear the km on the dash don't come back only the error engine code with the original km behind it. The car has a real engine problem.

It seems VCDS can read the mileage also from older engine ecu's.
So it seems normal that this engine ecu mileage is reported, instead of the mileage from cluster.
(With newer ecu's like EDC17 the mileage cannot be read, so only cluster mileage is reported ..)

Disconnect any sensor on any of these and you will always get genuine km back ,same as bms ,mileage correction is becoming an illusion .
