I too want to buy the unit but find the process too strange...all i wanted was interface then add software as needed .then i was told to buy basic software with interface i found this too confusing as there are basic sofwares available for cars i have no interest in....they can just let us choose what we want

There is no 12 month subscription, if you have paid for the software. You can use it as you like. But often you must pay for new updates. But sometimes they are given as an update of the module you have bought.

But you can choose to pay to get access to all available software for 12 months.
If you would choose this. I guess it would be smart to have a 24hours workshop, with day and night crew to get the most value of it.

Yes. Sadly SMOK has problems with Micronas. Had to use Repair flash button few times and read dash with other tool.
Its great in other types but Micronas in UHDS like in Multiprog need update.....

Never kill any bsi with Smok , when sw recognize version bsi than erase flash but you have backup(C:\Program Files (x86)\UHDS\UHDS AllInOne\files) in sw and always have backup and always can write on obd . Try to find in your backup version bsi and write in bsi normally on obd .

Not possible to kill bsi when you program on normal way. Smok not program bootloader part, so you can always write backup

Hello, I am experiencing issues with 0L85D V50 2004 DIM flash writing. I am reading whole 128kb flash file, but cannot upload whole flash back. It seems that there is some kind of protection in the ASCII table. I have that issue only in V50 2004. S60, S80, XC70, V70 from these years no problem- their ASCII tables are in different place, so I can easily edit them.

You have two different MCU mask one with 9s12 with 3 version + one 2013++ with calculation in Jtag Micro calculator and second MCU mask HC9S12X.. never have problem with these ezs , every version when you reading show wrong km accept correct version ezs and than you can change km in that version and thats all .

The vehicle has BSI Valeo and when selecting it appears the option to do BSI + Dashboard in a single step, by taking this option modifies the Km on the board but to cut the battery power or wait a few minutes after returning the original kilometers, I tried to modify Km in the BSI and then BSI + Dash, it shows messages with the correct results but definitely the Km are not recorded. What could happen ?.
I never disconnected the board because it does not say that it has to be done, I worked with everything connected giving contact to write correctly. The board has memory 95160. I would appreciate if you can help me with this doubt. regards

Probably your car is quiet new and it doesn’t work, it happens to me with one Peugeot Partner 2018, I have blocked the kms on dash but it didn’t work, so sometimes to be shure it’s better to do the dash away way:))

Have of course.Im before monipulation read original eep and flash then edit.But problem is like ,when first time read eeprom and flash then safe I dont thinking like eeprom dump its read badly.So.......... now I have good flash and corrupted eeprom......just good :load:...situation for me.

in regards to keeping your UHDS in good working order and not damaging the flash mcu inside a good quality cable is required
please dont be fooled into thinking a £30 cable is high quality !!

i found that the blue or purple cables you get with the china tools are spot on
so dont be caught out and have to return your uhds for repair
grab yourself one of the cables asap ;)

smoks software was for 06.2014–
below this would fail
but he has released a new update now covering the earlier models
with SW 0xxx , 2xxx ,3xxx it is old MQB

only smelecom had these models in the past
but new update shows now covered

Hello guys,

I need to viginize a conti 2015 crypto 308 T9 bsi.
Smart key function stopped working after programming 1 extra smart key.
I used Smok uhds to get the pin.
The original key whas not present at that time.
Some i started as all key lost.
Smok made backup, config xml, flash, and eeprom.
During reading of the pin, a popup appeard. ( 258)
I pressed ok to resume.
Then it gave me the pin.


I collected the old key, and a brand new key.
I wanted to program it, but the car did not react anymore to the old key, or to the ignition button.


After contacting my Smok dealer, advise came.
Write config, flash, and press write pin.
After writing pin, car responded, and allowed key programming.


Car starts, but kessy function on both keys fails.
Keys now need to drop i key slot to start.


One dtc B1003 is present, and can not be erased.






Advise from Smok, make bsi virgin.
I like to know this procedure.
And what tools are needed.
I have taken a look at psa-com. Lexia does not cover this car.
My backup eeprom, might be corrupted during the reading by Smok.
I have written it back, in changed nothing.
Also the config and flash might be off.


Could someone guide me, getting this car back to normal?

Problem solved. It tried updating my device and it worked. Eeprom is behind display panel. Not hard to remove.

RegardsID it with a scanner or google hw id that smok gives you or in most cases when its reading vin/km correctly chances are you've made the right selection

If it give "init error" there is no communication with dash at all. same as not plug in obd connector.

For XC 60 2010+ you have few version where is the location of mileage . You have two version which you can change km 1. Reprogram CEM+ dash 2.Disable sinchro CEM-dash when you make new km on dashboard don't forget to check DDM/PDM if these module have stored old km you must do manually (on OBD read fleash+eeprom than with Jtag BDM erase full NEC in DDM/PDM and write flash which you prevous reading on OBD with UHDS) if you dont want to old km jump back :-) and at the and check ECU if you vant to make clear job .

Is there a way to program pin into insignia edc17c59 ? I can see the option to reset ecu once current pin is entered but how do we program new pin with smok pls? And what is meant by reset adaptations in software? I have opel full software. Thanks

tried to read sirius32 on bench and can not connect to ecu,
done many of them without problem before, last one before few months,
do i have to make some mods on UHD for k-line to work again,
my UHDS not have newmultipexer bord, sn 17021xx

Nothing change. i make one yesterday without problems. Remember to Connect k and L line from ecu together to k-line pin obd connector.

thanks in advance i've got the same probblem with the first generation smok uhds interface, smok told me the problem is your laptop (strange), but i bought a new laptop, same problem, flash interrupt while reading. Smok told me again its your laptop (brand new one!). I bought a new type multiplexer, same problem. I have to buy a new interface i guess, but the interface has to be sent to smok first, then he is even charging for copy the license to another interface. I think i wait and try to fix the old interface.

I think you can modify connections, i remember i had the same thing a while ago and if i remember correct something is changed in connections.
Compare the connections in the help menu and i think you find a solution.

Some 12v pin changed if i remember correct.

how do i clone cp14 with smok, got to this point after reading both ecus with ktag....saved cloned eeprom from smok, do i just write the eeprom to doner ecu, job done?
i dont have the car just both identical ecu's.

536189Clone eeprom button then write to new ECU using ktag although if both ecus had same part number you could just copy eeprom from old to new ECU
